- A Valued Member Join Today!Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lower Merion, Narberth, Conshohocken and West Conshohocken (VMSC) was established in 1944 as a volunteer ambulance corp. In the ensuing years, VMSC has become a combination volunteer/career Emergency Medical Service organization that provides Advanced Life Support Services in a 49 square mile area in the suburbs of Philadelphia. VMSC operates 24/7/365. We are a non-profit 501(c) 3 volunteer-based ambulance company responding to over 7,000 calls in the last year for the 106,000 residents and 7,000 businesses in the municipalities we serve. VMSC has done an outstanding job in the past several years maintaining our operating budget in a fiscally sound manner. Since VMSC is not tax supported, the funds available to meet the needs of the operation are strictly dictated by the number of calls answered, the number of patients that have the ability to pay for services (via insurance or private pay) and the contributions from the communities we serve through our membership drive.
In September of 2008, VMSC will begin our sixty-fifth Annual Membership Campaign. VMSC’s needs your membership support. Your donation of $55 for a family,or $40 for individual or senior insures that, regardless of your insurance, you pay only 15% of the balance after your co-pay and deductibles are satisfied.
