The Pennsylvania Department of Health-Bureau of EMS has added important new features to your EMT and Paramedic certification cards. Montgomery County EMS is set to offer you these upgrades which include your signature and photo on your certification card. An information bulletin was released from the Bureau last week announcing these upgrades and addressing important security concerns.
We would like to capture as many as possible Montgomery County EMS practitioners in just a few days and nights in October, 2009. The process will start on Monday October 19, Tuesday October 20, and Wednesday October 21 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at both the EOC & the Training Campus.
In addition, I will be at the Training Campus on October 26 & 28th from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. for practitioners that are unable to make the day times scheduled.
When you arrive be ready with ID, you will have your picture and signature captured electronically and your card will be completed and printed while you wait.
Please distribute this announcement widely throughout your organization so we may accomplish this task in a reasonable amount of time.
